Racial Slur Scrawled On Car: La Grange Cops
The incident happened near a downtown restaurant, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:
Racial slur
- A woman said that while her car was parked at work, someone wrote a racial slur on it with a finger. There was no permanent damage. The incident was reported about 4 p.m. Tuesday at Swanson's Deli, 74 S. La Grange Road.

- A resident in the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue told police Oct. 13 that two people tried to use her credit card to buy gift certificates at a restaurant in another town. Because the transaction did not go through, the resident did not lose any money.
- Upon checking his credit score, a resident in the 800 block of South La Grange Road told police Oct. 11 that he learned that a credit card had been opened in his name in 2015. A payment was missed, lowering the resident's credit score. The resident contacted the police as a matter of record.
Suspended license
- A 35-year-old Lyons man was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Oct. 6 in the 300 block of East 47th on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license and having expired plates.
