Racist Heard Making Threats In La Grange: Police

LA GRANGE, IL — A man said he was at an appointment last week at a La Grange dental office when he heard a man come into the office yelling racial slurs about blacks and threatening to hurt them, according to a police report. The man who heard the slurs made his report last Wednesday, two days after the alleged incident.

The suspect was making his comments to another person in the office. The person who made the report did not see the suspect, police said. He said he would contact the police department immediately if he saw the man in the future. The dental office was in the 1400 block of West 47th Street, the report said.

No other information was available in the police report, including how the dental office's employees handled the situation.

In recent days, two Blacks Lives Matter protests have been held in La Grange, attracting hundreds of people. La Grange is 5.7 percent African American.
