Rash Of La Grange Park Car Burglaries: Cops

One car was stolen and then recovered in Chicago, police said.

LA GRANGE PARK, IL – Car burglaries were reported Friday in a couple of neighborhoods, local police said.

One car was stolen, but was recovered in Chicago, according to a police news release.

Both locked and unlocked cars were targeted, police said.

The burglaries occurred in the 200 to 400 blocks of Homestead Road and the 1600 block of Barnsdale Road, with valuables stolen from several cars, police said.

  • Lock your car, even when it's parked in the driveway.
  • Remove valuables from your car or keep them out of sight.
  • Park in well-lit areas.
  • Report suspicious activity to police.
