On March 30th thru April 30th, our Featured Artist Exhibit. remnant memories: new work by Sarah Rehmer will be on display at La Grange Art League. Rehmer will be showing her recent sculptural paintings, altered photographs and the site-specific installation of her rejected stories project. The themes of memory and memory loss are central to Rehmer’s work because of personal experience with her maternal grandmother. Rehmer is questioning what happens to memories as the individual can no longer recall them, as is often the case with those impacted by Alzheimer’s or dementia.
