'Rolling' Pro-Palestinian Protests In La Grange
Local police officers were on hand during both demonstrations, the village president said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange saw pro-Palestinian demonstrations over the holidays, the village's leader reported Monday.
"Both on Christmas and New Year's, there was a Palestinian rolling protest or caravan that went down La Grange Road," Village President Mark Kuchler said at a Village Board meeting. "It was a peaceful event."
The participants protested Israel's handling of its war against Hamas.

At the meeting, Kuchler praised the work of local police officers during the protests.
"The goal was to have the participants proceed through the village as safely as possible, and we were successful in reaching that goal," he said. "Again, these were the holidays. They were reporting to work, showing why it is important that we are fully staffed on the holidays. So thank you very much to our first responders."
