Mandala, roughly translated to circle in Sanskrit, is considered a sacred geometric shape. A circle is a sign of the absolute, with no beginning and no end. Mandalas have been used by many cultures as symbols for practicing concentration and meditation, as well as personal and spiritual growth. With the help of mandalas, we are led to a state of focused attention, creating an opening to the deep intuitive knowledge that resides within.
During this special two hour practice, we will use the mandala as a tool on our spiritual journey. Through the use of the sacred circle, we will cultivate the practice of spontaneous meditation. The night will include traditional Buddhist mantra, breath work to cultivate awakening, a flowing vinyasa sequence set to Tibetan music and end with a seated meditation to fully integrate the circular practice with our inner consciousness.
