Scottish Ballet performs at Harris Theater for one weekend only
The Scottish Ballet performs its critically-acclaimed A Streetcar Named Desire for one weekend only

The Harris Theater has a reputation for innovative programming, especially when it comes to dance. This month the Scottish Ballet brings its critically-acclaimed A Streetcar Named Desire to the Harris Theater.
This is the first time the Scottish Ballet will perform in Chicago. Created in conjunction with the Scottish Ballet’s 2012 contemporary adaptation of the Tennessee William Pulitzer Prize-winning play, this adaptation is considered a treasure of contemporary dance. The cross-disciplinary style pushes the dancers and the audience to new heights as greed, passion and treachery come alive on the stage.
The dance production stays true to the original story, weaving key elements together through dance and music. The set and costumes bring 1930s New Orleans to life on stage and in the audience’s mind. The production debuts on Thursday, May 7, with the final Chicago performance on Saturday, May 9.
