Sen. Nybo's summer intern program a success; Fall program runs from September through December
A dozen students participated in Senator Chris Nybo's summer Legislative Internship Program. Fall program runs September through December.

LOMBARD – A dozen high school and college students participated in State Sen. Chris Nybo’s summer Legislative Internship Program, which drew to a close Aug. 12.
“These young men and women were able to experience first-hand the kind of work done by our legislative office, working with constituents, learning many different computer programs, and understanding the role that district staff plays in the legislative process,” said Nybo (R-Elmhurst). “Interns also became point staff for the meetings of my Legislative Advisory Committee, doing intensive research on discussion topics and providing administrative support.”
Aug. 12 was Intern Appreciation Day. Interns were treated to workshops on resumes and interviewing skills, making the most of Gmail and Apps. Lunch was provided, and the day ended with a debate about “The Cost of College.”
