This Slur Was Scrawled In Downtown La Grange: Cops
The woman said she had no idea who may have written the slur on her car, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – A slur typically used against African Americans was written on a car earlier this month in downtown La Grange, police said.
Through a public records request, Patch got details on the incident.
According to the police report, a woman who worked seven hours at Swanson's Deli, 74 S. La Grange Road, returned to her car about 4 p.m. Oct. 17 in the back of the restaurant. Someone had written the N-word on the hood of her 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe using a finger, police said.

The woman, who is white, said she did not have a problem with anyone and had no idea who may have written the slur, the report said.
The woman did not sign a complaint. She said she only wanted the incident documented for future reference.

Police said there was no permanent damage.
