Stickney Man Accused of Sexually Abusing 14-Year-Old Girl

Prosecutors say the man was involved with another adult in the household when the abuse happened.

STICKNEY, IL — A Stickney man was arrested after a 14-year-old girl told her family that he had sexually abused her, prosecutors said Monday in court.

Nicacio Munoz, 26, appeared before Cook County Judge Peter Felice on aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges. He was arrested on Sept. 30.

According to the charges, Munoz had lived with the girl’s family for the past few months because he was involved in a relationship with a relative who also lived in the home. Munoz was home with the girl on Sept. 30 when he asked her if she’d like to smoke cannabis. Eventually she agreed.

Soon after smoking the cannabis, the girl began feeling tired and went to bed. She was awakened by Munoz poking her breasts and rubbing her over her clothes, the prosecutor said.

The girl told police she pretended to be asleep and turned over as Munoz continued the alleged abuse. She immediately told family members afterward, who reported the incident to police.

The assistant public defender said Munoz is currently living with an aunt in Cicero.

Munoz is currently wanted on an arrest warrant for violating his probation on a domestic battery conviction from March. His bail was set at $50,000.

Felice set bail at $250,000 for the new charges. Munoz is not to contact the girl or her family, or be with anyone under age 18.

Munoz’s next court date is Oct. 27 in Bridgeview.
