Store Burglary, Theft: La Grange Cops
A duo stole items from a local store, in what was labeled a burglary, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports:
Burglary
- Two males stole phone accessories Sept. 23 from the Verizon store, 5 S. La Grange Road. The pair entered the business through an unlocked front door. It was listed as a burglary.

- Someone tried to break into a house in the 600 block of South Catherine Avenue while a person was gone between 8:20 a.m. and 9 a.m. Monday. The exterior door on the west side of the house was damaged and slightly ajar.
Theft
- A man and a woman stole several car parts and scrap metal from a business in the 300 block of Washington Avenue. The incident was reported Wednesday. The pair were seen on camera.
- An air charger cooler was stolen from a business about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Washington Avenue. The item was valued at $400.
Stolen bicycles

- A black Mongoose bicycle was stolen between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the La Grange train depot. The owner was unsure whether the bike was locked. The bike was valued at $100.
- A red and black Specialized Allez bicycle was stolen between Sept. 22 and Sept. 29 from an open garage in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue. The bike was valued at $1,000.
Damage
- The back window of a car was cracked but not shattered between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday near Burlington and Waiola avenues.
- Some type of object was thrown at the front door of a house Sept. 23 in the 300 block of South Brainard Avenue. A glass pane was broken.
