Summer Sundays Feature Family Entertainment At Brookfield Zoo

There will be concerts, character meet and greets and more at the Brookfield Zoo events.

BROOKFIELD, IL — New this year, families with children of all ages can head to Brookfield Zoo for family-friendly programming on select Sundays throughout the summer. From concerts to meet-and-greets with some favorite children’s characters, there is sure to be fun for everyone.

The zoo said this year’s Summer Sunday’s lineup includes:

  • July 15: Ralph’s World Concert. Families can rock out at the zoo’s first Summer Sunday, which kicks off with The Happiness Club performing at the Concert Stage on the East Mall at 11 a.m. Afterwards, guests can rock along with Ralph’s World, who will entertain families with an interactive concert at 1 p.m. The band will lead the audience through a jamming set of dancing, singing and good old fashioned fun.
  • July 22 and Aug. 19: LEGOLAND Day. The zoo said young zoogoers can go wild with their creativity at two select LEGOLAND Days. Little LEGO lovers can interact with the Master Model Builder from LEGOLAND Discovery Center Chicago – Schaumburg and watch as he creates an amazing build made entirely out of LEGO bricks on the zoo’s Carousel Plaza. Kids will also have a chance to put their creativity to use by building their own LEGO creation.
  • Aug. 5: Beat Bugs™ Live. Characters from Beat Bugs™, the popular children’s animated TV series, will invade Brookfield Zoo’s Summer Sunday’s line-up with three 25-minute adventurous live performances, featuring music inspired by the Beatles. The zoo said show times are at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the Concert Stage on the East Mall. Youngsters can meet and take photos with the characters following each performance.
  • Aug.t 12: PAW Patrol™. Zoogoers are invited to join their favorite PAW Patrol™ characters Chase and Marshall at Bramsen Animal Ambassador Pavilion for a meet and great and photo opportunity. The zoo said from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. kids can meet and take photos with the two characters. Characters will make appearances for 40 minutes every hour, on the hour (first-come, first-served).
