Tapman Productions announces first full season

Little kids love tap dance. They might not realize they are tap dancing, but they do it all the time. Tapman Productions brings this art form to life with a story kids of all ages will enjoy. The Adventures of Tapman features a tap dancing super hero, the Modern Marvel, and his arch-nemesis, the MADD Tapper in the first, full-length, family show from Tapman Productions.

In fact, there are a lot of firsts for Tapman Productions this year. The company recently announced a full season of stories told through tap and modern dance. The three original productions feature original choreography and guest artists.

The Adventures of Tapman, January 28- February 8, features a tap dancing super hero. The Tapman Repertory Performance, May 29 - June 7, is a collaboration of tap and modern dance. Tapman presents MADD Rhythms, September 11-20, showcases the MADD Rhythms tap company.

Tapman Productions is an ambitious new dance company. Formed in 2012 by Tristan Bruns, the company’s goal is to present exciting performances with touches of comedy while honoring the integrity of tap dance. Tapman Productions home theater, the Anthenaeum  Theatre at 2936 N. Southport in Chicago, is an intimate place to experience the fun and artistry of tap dance.
