Thefts At La Grange Fitness Center: Cops

Three victims came forward in the last week, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – Three people's credit cards were stolen over the last week at the La Grange park district's fitness center, 536 East Ave., police said.

Eight credit cards in all were taken, police said.

In one case, the financial loss was reported at $9,782, while in another, the loss was $1,700, police said. This is all pending credit card company refunds.

In other police reports:

  • Two packages were stolen Wednesday from a porch in the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue. The packages contained a tool set and batteries. The items were worth $130.
  • A person in the 10 block of East Ogden Avenue told police that someone tried to open a Costco credit card and membership in the person's name. No financial loss was reported.
  • A school flag was reported stolen Sunday from a front yard in the 100 block of South Ashland Avenue. The flag was valued at $100.
  • About 3:30 a.m. Nov. 18, an officer on patrol noticed that the driver's side door of a car in the 100 block of Sawyer Avenue was spray-painted.
