U of I Black Chorus comes to La Grange Nov. 16th

St. Cletus Church to host The U of I Black Chorus

The St. Cletus Fine Arts Series is excited to announce that The University of Illinois Black Chorus, Conducted by Dr. Ollie Watts Davis, will be performing at St. Cletus Church, 600 W. 55th St. La Grange. The performance will be Sunday, November 16th at 4:00 p.m.

Founded in 1968, the members of the Black Chorus perform the music of Black Americans, ranging from the Negro spiritual, anthems and formal music to traditional and contemporary gospel, jazz, and rhythm and blues.

Join us as we welcome this nationally renowned chorus to La Grange as part of the 2014-15 Fine Arts Series.

About the Series:

The St. Cletus Fine Arts Series was created in 2009 to present high quality musical performances outside of the liturgical setting. Our goal is to present between three and five concerts each year; some will feature our talented parishioners, others will invite professional ensembles to perform in our sanctuary.
