Uber Driver Accused Of DUI In Crash: Riverside Cops
The driver was accused of causing the crash after he veers into oncoming traffic and hits cars head on, police said.

RIVERSIDE, IL — An Uber driver who was between jobs was accused of drunken driving over the weekend after he caused a crash in Riverside, police said. Police responded to an accident involving four cars about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Harlem Avenue and Lawton Road.
When the first officer arrived, he found the crash had blocked all lanes and people walking around with obvious signs of head injuries, according to a Riverside police news release. Riverside police summoned paramedics, and several people were taken to area hospitals. Their injuries were described as not life-threatening.
The drunken driver was identified as Hector Hernandez, 42, of North Riverside, the release said. He did not have a passenger, police said, but was waiting for his next job when he collided into three other cars. He crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic and hit the cars head on, police said. All the cars sustained heavy damage, so they were towed.
