Village: 'Reports Of Police Activity In The Surrounding Area'

The Village would like to make residents aware that acts of vandalism and looting have been reported in some area suburbs and some businesses have closed out of caution. Looters appear to be primarily targeting areas with shopping malls and large shopping centers with national retailers. The La Grange Police Department has been in contact with the State Police and no activity has been reported or is occurring in La Grange, La Grange Park or Western Springs. Some La Grange and area businesses have decided to close voluntarily.

As a precaution, the La Grange Police Department has doubled the number of police officers on patrol and has increased patrols that will occur throughout the evening.

Please call 9-1-1 to report suspicious or criminal activity.
