MAP stands for Measure of Academic Progress. Students at St. John's are given a series of tests on the computer that measures academic growth in the areas of mathematics, reading, and language usage. The difficulty of each question given on the MAP test is based on how the student answers the previous questions. MAP tests are important to our school because they let teachers know where a student's strengths are and if help is needed in any specific areas. Teachers use this information to help guide instruction in the classroom. In both reading and math, each class has between 60% and 90% of students above the proficiency level. This means they score above the standard for the state of Illinois. This proves that St. John’s School is the right choice for your child’s education.
Join us March 18th at our next Open House and hear other benefits on registering your child this Fall.
