What Residents Want For LTHS Campuses

The community was surveyed in the fall about what improvements they would like to see.

LA GRANGE, IL – Lyons Township High School received "pretty consistent" results from a survey on which improvements the community wants for the school's two campuses, the school board was told this week,

"There seemed to be agreement about what priorities should be addressed," Shelley Taylor, chairwoman of the school's Community Advisory Council, said at a board meeting. "The priorities that emerged were improving the South Campus cafeteria, modernizing classrooms for 21st-century learning, and improving bathrooms and athletic facilities at both campuses."

She said residents also frequently mentioned adding air conditioning, which she called "unsurprising."

Many parents, she said, talked about the importance of taking pride in the school's athletic venues, especially when it is hosting other schools.
