You know that strange thing in your basement that you can't identify? The Field Museum is ready to help.
You know that strange thing you have in a box in your basement? Maybe you inherited it or maybe you found it at a garage sale. Either way, the Field Museum is ready to help you identify it this Saturday, September 12. From 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., more than a dozen Field Museum will host its second annual ID Day.
Like a real-life episode of Mysteries at the Museum, scientists identified nearly 100 items in 2014. This year more scientists are going to be on hand to solve even more mysteries. Even if you don’t have anything that needs a name, you can join the fun watching the scientists determine important factors for identification and exploring different samples to see if you can identify them.
