Worker's Purse Stolen From La Grange Business: Cops

In another case, a scrapper may have taken a bicycle that was left in the parkway, police said.

LA GRANGE, IL – La Grange police released their latest blotter Thursday. Here is information from the latest reports:

Theft

  • An employee's unattended purse was reported stolen about 5 p.m. Tuesday at Yuva Beauty, 6 S. La Grange Road. The suspect used a credit card in the purse, charging a minimal amount, which the bank refunded. An investigation continues.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen about 5 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of South Stone Avenue. The bike was left on a parkway near a parking sign. A pickup truck with scrap items in the bed was seen in the area. It is believed the scrapper may have taken the bike.

Trespassing

  • A 22-year-old Chicago man was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing. He was accused of trespassing at Uptown La Grange Apartments, 31 E. Ogden Ave.

Damage

  • While cleaning outside, a resident in the 300 block of West Calendar Avenue noticed that his basement window was shattered and the screen was torn. Nothing was stolen. The report was made Friday.
