Advanced Putting Green Makes Area Debut at The Glen Club
Backed by a pro, the new green was produced by a Lake Forest company.
A putting green being marketed as “The ONLY Green” has made its Chicagoland debut at The Glen Club in Glenview.
The green, backed by noted short-game golf guru Stan Utley, has more features than its predecessors, the Daily Herald reports.
The green is produced by Lake Forest-based Brunswick Corporation, which has a rich history of producing sports equipment.

“The green comes as a handcrafted piece of furniture that is available in six hardwood finishes,” according to the article. “While there are six standard sizes, the smallest being two feet by eight feet, greens can be customized to fit specific spatial needs.”
Prices range from $3,400 to $11,000.

“I saw it. I played on it, and I had to have it,” said Chris Clawson, president of Life Fitness and Brunswick Billiards. “It’s not just a great way to improve your game. It’s also a great, fun way to unwind with your family and friends.”
