Al Piemonte, a Lake Forest Resident, Dies at 83

Al Piemonte, a Lake Forest resident and one of Chicagoland’s most famous car dealers, died at age 83 at Lake Forest Hospital.

The owner of the Melrose Park Ford dealership that has been one of the area’s most popular through its television ads had been hospitalized in recent weeks with pneumonia.

A wake is scheduled from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at Cumberland Chapel, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. in Norridge, and a funeral for Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 991 S. Waukegan Road in Lake Forest.
