Lake Forest Auto Show To Feature 100-Plus Cars, Rare Motorcycles

The annual Lake Forest show is set to showcase cars spanning 120 years, along with motorcycles, food and live music.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Lake Forest's seventh annual Then & Now Auto Show will be held Sept. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Lake Forest Train Station.

The free event is open to the community and will feature more than 100 cars from 10 automotive classes.

The show is set to highlight vehicles spanning 120 years, with classic cars from the distant past and special cars of today. Organizers describe the display as a showcase of premier North Shore cars, ranging from lesser-known makes such as Alvis, Bandini, Brabham, Cyclops, DeTomaso, Franklin, Fraser-Nash, Iso Grifo, Lester MG, Jowett, Pierce and a Stanley Steamer to widely recognized brands including Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Cadillac, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Morgan, McLaren, Nash, Packard, Porsche, Studebaker and Rolls-Royce.

The event also will include a selection of rare and sought-after motorcycles representing nearly 100 years of motorcycle history.

Beyond the vehicle displays, the family-friendly event will include entertainment by the Flat Cats band and a Food Truck Row with food and beverages from Clucker's Charcoal Chicken, La Plancha Loca, The Left Bank, Rosati's Lake Forest and Snowie. Young attendees also will be able to explore fire and police vehicles.

The Then & Now Auto Show is produced by the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce. This year's presenting sponsor is The Last Detail. Signature sponsors are Inviah, Inc., North Shore Auto Spa and Sunset Tires. Participating sponsors are Glenview Luxury Imports, Lake Forest Bank & Trust, Northern Trust, Northshore Sportscars and Porsche Exchange.
