Andrew Magda, 41, Wilmette- formerly of Lake Forest

Andrew Dale Magda, 41 years old, passed away peacefully October 3rd after a 5 year battle with ALS. He was surrounded by family and the love from his many friends. Andrew lived in Wilmette, IL with his wife, Ashley and their son, William. Andrew is the son of Dale and Virginia, brother to John and Kelly, son in law to Eric and Ali and brother in law to Erin, Steve, and Eric. Andrew was raised in Lake Forest and graduated from LFHS. He went on to earn his bachelors degree from University of Illinois followed by his JD from Vanderbilt Law. He medically retired from Perkins Coie in Chicago.

Andrew loved to travel and had visited Hawaii more times than he could count, explored the Amazon and ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain. Andrew was so accomplished and found joy in every experience including flying airplanes, playing the guitar, skiing, golfing, fishing, and cheering on the Chicago Bears with his lifelong friends. Andrew's greatest achievement, however, was the birth of his son William. Andrew was a loving and devoted husband and father with a quick wit and charming warmth. He truly cherished every minute together as a family and watching his son grow. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
