Basketball Fundraiser Nets $10K for Girl Battling Lymphoma
Ticket proceeds, T-Shirt sales and a raffle raise money for daughter of Lake Forest assistant

A basketball doubleheader on December 10 was used as a fundraiser to support the daughter of Lake Forest High School freshman boys basketball assistant Steve Johnson, who is fighting lymphoma.
The Lake Forester reports the boys and girls doubleheader brought in $10,000 to benefit Lexie Johnson, 14, who was diagnosed on October 23. The money was raised through ticket proceeds, T-shirt sales and a raffle.
The winner of the $425 raffle prize, a Lake Zurich senior, donated the money to the Hope for Lexie fund, lifting the evening’s total to the five-digit level.
