BMW Championship Could Bring in $30 Million for Local Economy
Conway Farms Golf Club will host one of the Western Golf Association's major yearly tournaments in mid-September.

The economic impact of the BMW Championship, which is set to return to Conway Farms Golf Club for the second time from September 14-20, is expected to exceed $30 million for Lake Forest and Lake County, according to a city news release.
“We are thrilled to again host this spectacular and exciting event and are honored to have the tournament return,” said Donald Schoenheider, Mayor of Lake Forest. “We look forward to working closely with our partners at the PGA TOUR, the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation as well as the staff and members of Conway Farms Golf Club to stage another successful BMW Championship.”
The tournament, which first took place in Lake Forest in 2013, is a fundraiser for The Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship. Two years ago, it raised $2.3 million for the scholarship.
