Car Crashes Into Stop Light on Route 60; Driver Charged

LAKE FOREST, IL - A Highwood man faces multiple charges after police say he crashed his vehicle into the stop light at Route 60 and Field Drive last week.

Rene Esquivel-Izoteco, 23 was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 3:04 p.m. on Dec. 11.

Police said witnesses near the crash scene were able to identify the vehicle that crashed into the structure and knocked it down soon before police located Esquivel-Izoteco in the area.
