March 9 Chamber Luncheon to Provide Investment Overview

LF/LB Chamber of Commerce, Investment Strategy, Finance, Global Markets, Gary Lenhoff, CIO Wintrust

Lake Forest, Illinois – February 26, 2016 – The Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce will hold their monthly luncheon on Wednesday, March 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The topic of the luncheon is “Investing in an Uncertain World.”

The event is open to the public and will be held at The Lake Forest Club, 554 N. Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest.

Gary Lenhoff, Chief Investment Officer-Fundamental Equities at Wintrust, will give a summary of global economic events affecting economic growth and investment markets. He’ll also address what drives economic growth, where monetary policy has gone wrong, and presidential politics and its impact on markets. He is a member of the Investment Committee as well as Portfolio Manager responsible for Great Lakes Small Cap Equity strategy, and he brings more than 25 years of industry experience managing both large and small cap portfolios.

Mr. Lenhoff began his career as an Analyst with Prudential Investment Company where he eventually managed a $3.3 billion portfolio of leveraged buyout and equity investments. He served as a Portfolio Manager for Anderson, Hoagland & Company in St. Louis from 1993 to 2000, managing an $800 million portfolio. Subsequently, he helped build a team of seven analysts at Bricoleur Capital Management, where he assisted in growing a small cap long/short equity portfolio from $450 million to over $1.3 billion in assets. Most recently, Mr. Lenhoff was Chief Investment officer at Ironworks Capital Management, responsible for all aspects of security selection, portfolio construction and risk management. He became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1993 and is a member of the CFA Society of Chicago. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
