Veterans will be honored during July 11 ceremony.

Submitted to Patch

Navy Operational Support Center Chicago will honor selected veterans of every military campaign since World War II at a special ceremony featuring Medal of Honor Recipient Sergeant Allen Lynch on July 11 at Naval Station Great Lakes as a part of the Navy Reserve Centennial celebration.

The special ceremony, hosted by NOSC Chicago Commanding Officer Capt. Michael Elliott and featuring Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Allen Lynch, provides an opportunity for current Chicago-based reservists and the future Sailors of tomorrow to interact with and honor invited area veterans from several local VA facilities and legion posts for their service in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the United States Navy Reserve.
