Dog Attacked, Killed by Another in Lake Forest
Ollie was being walked by girl in east Lake Forest Wednesday when unleashed larger dog attacked.

A larger dog attacked and caused the death of a Shih Tzu in east Lake Forest on Wednesday.
Daily North Shore reports the Shih Tzu, named Ollie, was being walked by its owner’s daughter when two dogs - both unleashed - charged them, one “tearing into Ollie’s neck while (the owner’s daughter) screamed for help and tried desperately to fight off the dog, who continued to tear into Ollie’s side.”
The young woman eventually wrestled Ollie away from the larger dogs, and her screams were loud enough for a neighbor to hear and call police. After taking the pet to her aunt’s house, they drove Ollie to an animal clinic where he died minutes after arriving.

“My daughter tried vainly to stop the attack and save our dog, but it was clearly an animal that for those moments had turned into a predator after his prey. Not even a bark,” Ollie’s owner said.
Lake Forest Police issued two tickets to the owner of the large dog; one for Biting or Attacking a dog and the other for violating the City’s Running at Large code. The offending dog is quarantined in its house for 10 days and will then be examined by its veterinarian.
