Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz to Be Honored for Mental Health Advocacy

Lake Forest resident who is Founder, Chairman and CEO of ComPsych will be recognized at March 29 Social Impact Leaders Awards luncheon.

Lake Forest resident Richard Chaifetz, Psy.D., will be honored at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s inaugural Social Impact Leaders Awards luncheon March 29 at Chicago’s Sofitel Hotel. Emceed by actress Torrey DeVitto of NBC’s Chicago Med, the event will recognize Dr. Chaifetz; Naomi Ruth Cohen Institute for Mental Health Education (NRCI) founders, Marilyn and Lawrence Cohen; and Beth Rom-Rymer, Ph.D. of Rom-Rymer and Associates for the impact they’ve made in the areas of mental health, psychology, and behavioral health. Registration is now open. The Chicago School is a leading nonprofit, private university devoted exclusively to psychology, and related behavioral health sciences.

Chaifetz is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of ComPsych Corporation, and pioneered fully integrated employee assistance, behavioral health, wellness, work-life and human resources administration services. The company is the world’s largest provider of employee assistance programs, serving more than 45,000 organizations and 100 million individuals throughout the U.S. and 160 other countries.

The Social Impact Leaders Awards luncheon is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Proceeds from the event will go to NRCI, scholarships for students, and programs on The Chicago School’s Chicago Campus.
