Driver Hurt, Charged With DUI After Hitting Parked Car: Police

FELONY DUI

Juan B. Bustamante‐Garrido, 29, of the 1300 block of North Western Avenue, was arrested and charged with felony driving under the influence, driving with a revoked license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after an April 18 car crash.

Police responded to the accident at about 3:33 a.m. in the 500 block of Beverly Place. According to the police report, Bustamante‐Garrido is accused of hitting a park car and was hospitalized.

He was held on $25,000 bail, and his court date is May 9.

VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION

Michael C. J. Davis, 24, of the 1300 block of North Western Avenue, was arrested and charged with violating an order of protection after being accused of trying to pass a message April 18 to the individual protected by the order.

He was held on $2,500 bail, and his court date is April 26.

DUI

Arturo Torres, 22, of the 3300 block of Judy Lane, Park City, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane use after an April 10 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Torres at about 4:26 a.m. for improper lane use near Route 41 and Deerpath Road. During the stop, the driver failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. At the station, he gave a breath sample that registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.106. The legal limit is 0.08.

Torrest was held on $3,000 bail, and his court date is May 27.
