Facets Multimedia Brings Kids Film Camp to Gorton Community Center

Gorton Community Center has partnered with Chicago’s Facets Multimedia to run their Kids Film Camp June 15-19.

Students, ages 8-14, will work with film professionals to conceive, write, storyboard, act, shoot and direct a short film. Participants will develop essential 21st-century skills by learning how to critically view films, learn the grammar and structure of film, and work creatively in diverse groups. Camp will culminate in a mini film festival of each team’s work. There are only a limited number of spots available.

Graduates of Facets Kids Film Camp at Gorton are eligible to serve on the Children’s or Youth Juries of the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival.
