To celebrate the changing season, North Shore Distillery is hosting a Fall Flavor Festival on the weekend of October 5 and 6 - Saturday 12 to 9 pm and Sunday 12 to 6 pm.
The distillery will offer a special menu of cocktails using fall
ingredients, including apples, pears and cranberries. In addition, a range of fun, festive activities
will be on the day’s schedule - bobbing for apples, a bags game, mystery
spirit/cocktail tastings, and a spiked hot cider bar.
North Shore Distillery is the first modern craft distillery in the Chicago area, and in
Illinois. The company was started by
Derek and Sonja Kassebaum, two people with a passion for spirits and cocktails,
in 2004. North Shore Distillery offers
modern spirit connoisseurs the best in taste and quality with its outstanding
collection of hand-crafted spirits. The
Company launched its first two products, Distiller’s Gin No. 6 and North Shore
Vodka, in November 2005, and two additional products, North Shore Tahitian
Vanilla Vodka and Aquavit Private Reserve, in late 2006. In 2008, Distiller’s Gin No. 11 and the
long-awaited Sirène Absinthe Verte were added to their offerings, and Sol
Chamomile Citrus was added in 2011. All
of these products have won local and national awards and recognition.
