FBI Report Shows Little Crime in Lake Forest

According to the FBI’s unified crime report of offenses known to law enforcement, there were only two instances of violent crime during the entire year of 2014.

Just two. And they were both aggravated assaults. No murders, no rapes and no robberies.
For a town with a population of nearly 20,000, these numbers are usually unheard of. But in Lake Forest, they hardly come as a surprise.

The number of property crimes in 2014 was also relatively low. There were only 145 of those cases, which included 19 burglaries, 124 incidents of larceny or thefts, two motor vehicle thefts and no arsons.
