Find Help Lake County Website Newly Updated and Redesigned

Call for Lake County Residents and Service Providers to 'Be a Link. Pass the Link'

(LAKE COUNTY, IL- January 2016)- “Be a Link. Pass the Link.” United Way of Lake County has declared this call-to-action for all Lake County residents and service providers to connect one another to needed health and human services available throughout the county.

United Way Lake County has recently updated its Find Help Lake County website, www.FindHelpLakeCounty.org, which contains over 400 health and human services available to Lake County, IL residents. These high-quality community resources cover a broad spectrum of concerns – from teen pregnancy to uninsured families to substance abuse and those living with domestic violence. However, the very people who could most benefit from these resources often do not know they exist or how to find them.

Individuals, families and service providers are able to access www.FindHelpLakeCounty.org and search a database of health and human services provided by agencies. The newly-updated and redesigned website has a user-friendly guided search to help individuals narrow down their search results and guide individuals to the resource that is right for them. The database is available in 10 different languages to accommodate the many languages spoken in Lake County, IL. Individuals are also able to search within the database for volunteer opportunities and organizations to donate items to.
