Fire at Grainger Causes Employee Evacuation Wednesday

No one was hurt in the blaze that began around 1 p.m.

LAKE FOREST, IL - Employees were temporarily evacuated from the headquarters of W.W. Grainger on Wednesday due to a fire at the offices.

Flames started around 1 p.m. in an air-handling machine in one of the mechanical rooms at the corporate office, according to a Daily Herald report.

Firefighters from several departments responded, but no one was hurt.
