Fire At Lake Forest Home Under Construction
UPDATE: Fire Department confirms active fire extinguished early Thursday afternoon.

6:00 p.m. UPDATE: Police escorted two elderly residents from the home after receiving a call around 9:30 a.m.
Damage from the fire was approximately $150,000.
Fire departments from Lake Bluff, Knollwood, Libertyville, North Chicago, Countryside, Lincolnshire, and Deerfield fire departments contributed assistance.

The state fire marshal, as well as members of the Lincolnshire, Lake Forest and Countryside fire departments will continue the investigation.

12:30 p.m. UPDATE: The Lake Forest Fire Department said there is no longer an active fire on the scene, although crews continue to be on site mopping up.

LAKE FOREST, IL — Firefighters are continuing to battle a blaze in Lake Forest Thursday, according to police.

The fire broke out at a house under construction at 81 W. North Avenue mid-morning, according to Northern Illinois Fireground Photos.
