Firefighter Hurt While Battling Garage Fire in Lake Forest
Crews put out the blaze on Ridge Road in 10 minutes, but one firefighter was treated and released.
LAKE FOREST, IL - A firefighter was injured Tuesday while assisting with a garage fire in Lake Forest.
The firefighter was treated and released after sustaining an injury while fighting the blaze in the 100 block of Ridge Road, according to a news release from the Lake Forest Fire Department.
The fire was reported at 10:22 a.m. by a construction worker who was working across the street and saw smoke coming from the garage. Fire crews made entry through a side door and extinguished the fire within 10 minutes.

The fire, which is currently under investigation, caused approximately $25,000 worth of damage to the garage.
