Former Farm Could Become Residential Development
Preliminary plans for 33 homes near Kennedy and Ridge approved by Council.

A former longtime farm in Lake Forest may soon become a residential subdivision with 33 homes.
The Lake Forest City Council approved preliminary plans for Northshore Builder Inc. to begin the process of planning the development on the 47-acre site south of Kennedy Road and west of Ridge Road, according to the Lake Forester.
About 20 acres will remain open space, according to plans.

The main house on the farm will remain in its present location. It was built in the 20th century and was the childhood home of Ginevra King, an acquaintance of F. Scott Fitzgerald who is said to have inspired a number of his writings.
