Gas Main Leaks Near Lake Forest Hospital
Construction crews hit main near an outpatient building Wednesday morning.
A construction crew at Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital struck a gas main near one of the hospital’s outpatient buildings Wednesday morning, causing a leak.
According to Lake Forest Police Commander Craig Lepkowski, the main was shut off immediately and “the fire department was not needed on scene for very long” once it was verified the main had been shut off.
Northshore Gas has been notified and is responding. Repairs are pending.
