Gorton Center presents Godspell

The Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest will be opening its newly remodeled theatre with the Performing Arts Summer Theatre Academy’s production of Godspell.

Performing Arts Summer Theatre Academy or PASTA’s Youth Ensemble will perform the Broadway-hit Godspell on Friday, July 31 at 6:00 PM and Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2nd at 3:00 PM.

Godspell was the first major musical theatre offering from three time Grammy and Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden) and it took the theatre world by storm! Led by the international hit “Day by Day,” Godspell features a parade of memorable songs from “Learn your Lessons Well” to “Beautiful City.”

Godspell is directed by Golden Apple Award winning teacher Tom Beck with musical directon by Elaine Ellis and costuming by Sue R. Beck
