With recent legislation regarding guns, assault weapons, concealed carry, background checks, etc. where exactly do things stand in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff? Are businesses, and churches comfortable with the new laws, and do we feel our families and children are safe? What are the requirements for training and permits? What is allowed where? Are there shortcomings?
The League of Women Voters - Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area is hosting a panel discussion on Wed. Oct. 16, 7:00 p.m. at Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Rd., Lake Forest. State Representative - 58th District Scott Drury, Lake Forest Chief of Police James Held, and Nicole Chen from Moms Demand Action will address many of the questions surrounding recent gun legislation.
