Helen Moloney, 100, Lake Forest

Helen Flynn Moloney, of Lake Forest, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100 on Sunday, June 18, 2023. She was blessed to have been surrounded by her children Lynn (Rick) Anderer, George (Judy) Moloney, Sue (Steve) Black, Anne (Ken) McQuillen, and Brian (Cheryl) Moloney. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, George (Bud) Moloney and her daughter, Marcia Ann Moloney.

Helen was born on June 2, 1923, to Marie and Edward Flynn. She was raised in Winnetka, Illinois. She attended Horace Mann Elementary, Skokie Junior High, and New Trier High School. She met Bud at a dance during high school. Helen and Bud were married on February 23, 1946. Helen is survived by her 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 Vine Avenue, Lake Forest, Illinois on Wednesday, June 21 from 4-7 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 22 at 11:30 am at Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, Illinois. Internment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois.
