Highway 41 Construction Starts Near Deerpath Road

Construction to add an entrance and exit from Lake Forest Hospital on Highway 41 just north of Deerpath Road begins Tuesday and will last into November, according to hospital Vice President for Marketing Jane Griffin.

When completed, the project will enable southbound drivers on Highway 41 to exit the roadway directly into the hospital with a right turn and exit directly onto the southbound lanes of the from a hospital driveway.

The roadwork is part of the creation of a new hospital, according to Griffin. Plans for the hospital is still going through the approval process, according to Griffin.

There will be no work done on the northbound lanes.
