Hit-And-Run Driver Hits 2, Kills 1: Police
He pulled over, but not to help – to put up his convertible top and hide evidence of the fatal collision Saturday in Zion, police said.

ZION, IL — Police asked for the public's help in locating a driver who hit two people killing one and injuring another, before pulling over, putting up his convertible top, removing evidence and fleeing the scene. Around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, the driver of a silver or gray Chrysler Sebring convertible hit two men on Green Bay Road south of 9th Street, near the Stonebridge development, according to the Zion Police Department. The Chrysler struck and killed a 19-year-old Pleasant Prarie, Wisconsin man and injured another man, who was treated at Vista East in Waukegan and later released.
After the fatal collision, the driver, who police described as a white man wearing a black t-shirt, pulled over off Green Bay Road and Route 173.
The Sebring was pictured with visible damage to its front end. Police said he put the convertible's top up and took unspecified evidence of the crime from his vehicle.
