Hospira Sales Jump After Giant Buyout Announcement
Lake Forest company's first quarter sales are more than 10 percent higher in 2015.
Net sales for Lake Forest-based Hospira jumped 11.8 percent to $1.2 billion in the first quarter of 2015. In the midst of a merger with Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer who offered to buy in the company in February, the numbers beat expectations, the Daily Herald reports.

Pfizer will acquire Hospira for $90 a share in cash for a total enterprise value of about $17 billion. The deal is expected to close before the end of 2015.
