IN MISSION AND IN PRAYER

Close to 30 members of the congregation I serve, Grace United Methodist Church in Lake Bluff, spent June 16-June 20 in service to our village and surrounding suburbs in MISSION WEEK.

Grace Church is a serving church in its heart and the week proved to be yet another opportunity for its members to give back in love to organizations like Bernie's Book Bank, Waukegan to College, ChildServ, Beacon Place, San Pablo UMC (a latino congregation in Waukegan) and the Lake Bluff community itself through a car wash and bake sale (benefiting the "Imagine No Malaria" campaign of the United Methodist Church and the United Nations/Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation).

Members gathered for a prayer walk which served to bless the village's public safety building, Village Hall, library, business downtown, even the metra station. To learn more about the mission week check out the church on Facebook or on its website: graceumclakebluff.org
