
Kathleen McNamara-Skinner, 54 of Lake Forest passed away May 15th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Katie grew up in Belmont, Massachusetts. She attended both St. Leo and Lynn University where she was a member of the women’s golf team. She lived in Highland Beach, Coral Springs and Key West before moving to Illinois with her beloved husband Jim. They were the proud parents of their son Brody. Katie devoted her life to being a wonderful mom and Brody’s greatest cheerleader. Katie immediately lit up any room she entered and made an impact on so many people. She loved her friends and family, and filled her home with warmth, generosity and kindness. She loved the ocean, traveling, enjoying time with friends and family but most of all being an incredible mom to Brody.
Katie will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all of her friends for their endless love and support. Katie was predeceased by her husband Jim and her parents Albert and Elaine McNamara. She is survived by her son Brody, her sister Kristen (Jed) Armstrong.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass that will be held Tuesday, May 23 at 10:30am at the Church of St. Mary in Lake Forest. 175 E Illinois Rd, Lake Forest, IL, 60045. Interment will be private.
